ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
 
You may qualify for one of these scholarship if you--

 a.  Are a citizen of the United States.

 b. Will be at least 17 years of age within the first semester of the year you begin college (you will not be able to contract until the day you turn 17).

c. Will be able to complete all requirements for a baccalaureate degree in four years.

 d.  Will be able to complete all requirements for a commission and be under 31 years of age on December 31st, of their sophomore year (2 years from start date of the scholarship). 
 
 e.  Have a cumulative high school academic grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or more on a 4.0 scale.  Use of weighted GPA is not authorized.  Cumulative GPA for all high school students will be calculated by the MJC Professor of Military Science (PMS) if not listed on the transcript PMS will use the grading scale in Cadet Command Regulation 145-1, Table 3-1.

 f.  Have a minimum Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score of 920 or minimum American College Test (ACT) composite score of 19.  One of these tests must be taken and the minimum score must be achieved.

 g.  Be medically qualified for enrollment in the ROTC Scholarship Program. Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB) will determine the medical status IAW the standards of Chapter 2, Army Regulation 40-501. The PMS will schedule you for a medical examination upon determination of your eligibility.

 h.  Will be a high school graduate or possess an equivalent certificate prior to contracting.

 i.  Have no moral obligation or personal conviction that will prevent you from--

     (1) Supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

     (2) Conscientiously bearing arms.

 j.  Satisfactorily explain any record of civil conviction.  You will be required to certify that you have never been convicted of any domestic violence crime.  If you have been convicted of any domestic violence crime, you are ineligible to enter ROTC or be commissioned into the Army.  This is not waivable.

 k.  Receive a rating of "4" or "5" on the Structured Interview if the ROTC Leader’s Training Course (LTC) is not required to qualify for enrollment in the ROTC Advanced Course.

 l.  Successfully pass the Leader's Training Course (LTC) (the summer of the year of award) if you are required to attend for placement credit for the ROTC Basic Course.
