You will get a chance to meet and talk to all of the new recruits in the air-conditioned uniform department or under the hospitality tent. The Alumni Brigade will host a social for the families and alumni at 5pm on August 13th. All volunteers will receive free MMI merchandise and lunch. Sign up for your shift today!

An alumnus of Marion Military Institute\, he became the first Special Assignments Correspondent for CNN.  He originated the term SOFTWAR which is defined as: “The hostile use of global television to shape another society’s will by changing its view of reality.” \nLynne Russell is a journalist\, author and trailblazer. At CNN/CNN Headline News for eighteen years\, she holds the distinction of being the first woman to anchor a regular primetime network nightly newscast. She is a licensed Private Detective and holds two black belts in the Korean-American street fighting martial art Choi Kwang Do. \nBreakout sessions will begin at 2:30 p.m. following their presentation.

SUMMARY:Guest Speaker\, Dr. Robert Kerr\, Air Command & Staff College
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Robert M. Kerr currently serves as the Director for the International Security 2: The Use of Armed Force course.  He holds a PhD in Political Geography from the University of Oregon\, and an MA in Geosciences from the University of South Carolina.  His BA is in History with an emphasis on the Islamic World from Grand Valley State University.  In addition to teaching at ACSC\, Dr. Kerr has worked at the Air Force Culture and Language Center\, and taught courses at the US Air Force Special Operations School\, the Senior NCOA Academy\, and the Air Advisor Academy.  In 2008-2009 he spent 15 months in NE Baghdad with the 3rd Brigade 4th Infantry Division and 1st Brigade 1st Cavalry Division as an embedded political/cultural advisor.
