Learn MoreWelcome to Marion Military Institute’s Office of Institutional Research (OIR). This office serves as the official source of objective, research-based data about MMI students, faculty, staff, and programs. In addition, the OIR is a clearinghouse for data and information surveys that originate from federal agencies, state government bodies and various private publishers including, but not limited to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS), Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE), the American Association of Community College’s Voluntary Framework Accountability, and The College Board.
Institutional data is gathered for more than one reason. It gives a snapshot picture of the institute at specified periods, allows for required reporting to governmental agencies, and most importantly, provides the language for planning, assessment, and policy research. Although the act of self-assessment is not typically a comfortable task it is inordinately necessary. Through assessment an institution learns where changes are needed and how to improve quality. The administration interprets the data and establishes priorities – the plan for the future.
The goal of this website is to provide students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other interested parties informative data on Marion Military Institute, including enrollment numbers and demographics as well as historical assessment of MMI’s programs.
