Coast Guard Commandant, Admiral Zukunft, Travels to Marion, Delivers Academy Appointments

Marion Military Institute was proud to host the highest ranking Coast Guard officer in the nation on our junior college campus yesterday, Admiral Paul Zukunft, 25th Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. While at Marion Military Institute, he met with executive staff, spoke to the Corps of Cadets in the historic Chapel (1857) and personally delivered surprise appointments to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy class of 2019 to three of our current students. Afterwards, ADM Zukunft met with a group of Coast Guard Academy candidates and answered questions about leadership, his 37-year Coast Guard career, and Academy life.
