The MMI Foundation was organized and incorporated to stimulate voluntary private support from alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, and others for the benefit of Marion Military Institute. The Foundation is governed by the MMI Board of Trustees, and under the provisions of ACT 230-2006 of the Alabama Legislature, the Board also serves as an advisory body, providing advice and counsel to the President and the Chancellor of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). The MMI Foundation serves as the custodian for the MMI endowment, archives, and artifacts.
The MMI Foundation receives, retains, and invests donations from private individuals and other entities to support MMI’s mission and priorities. The Foundation provides scholarships for cadets and necessary resources to improve and expand educational programs and facilities to a level not otherwise achievable with institutional funds alone.
