MMI Hosts UA President Dr. Bell

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, MMI hosted University of Alabama (UA) President Dr. Stuart Bell for his first campus visit. As a distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Bell addressed the MMI Corps of Cadets, faculty, and staff on the topic of leadership.

Speaking from his engineering and higher education background, he remarked that great leadership requires passion, vision and sustained effort. He also emphasized that sometimes leadership is a matter of saying “yes” to challenges.    

Following his presentation, seven cadet recipients of the UA Leadership Scholarship were announced as well as MMI’s single Presidential Scholarship recipient, Mr. Gordon Lawless, son of Mrs. Suzanne McKee, MMI’s V.P. for Institutional Advancement.
