Preview Day draws high school students and their families to campus

MMI Admissions Hosts 1st Fall Preview Day
On Saturday, Sept. 26, the Marion Military Institute (MMI) Admissions Office held its first fall preview day, intended for prospective students and their families to experience a day in the life of Marion’s cadets. Preview Day starts at 9:00 a.m. and gives interested students an interactive military experience with current cadets. Attendees sat in on college classes, were given information on MMI's civilian and military officer programs, and toured the college campus. The tour ended with a bang as the esteemed Swamp Fox cadets repelled down a 40-ft tower and engaged in hand-to-hand combat simulation. Later, the prestigious White Knights Precision Drill Team leaders put on an amazing show, spinning and launching rifles 15 feet in the air. All who witnessed were in awe from beginning to end. The high school students and their families were also treated to a complimentary breakfast and lunch by Sage Dining. The day ended at 2:00 p.m. after closing remarks from staff members and officers representing each of MMI’s programs and a quick question-and-answer session detailing everything from scholarships to campus life.

The next preview day will take place on FRIDAY, NOV. 6. You can sign up to attend by registering online or calling Admissions at 1-800-664-1842.
