3rd Annual Campus Relay for Life Benefits American Cancer Society

On Friday, April 27, MMI hosted its 3rd annual Relay for Life to support the fight against cancer. The 5K race, with a “Wipeout Cancer” Hawaiian theme, offered cadets, faculty and staff the opportunity to run or walk for the cause. Carnival games, prizes and refreshments in the stadium enhanced the atmosphere. This year’s event featured the Wall of Hope, a photo collage coordinated by Cadet Carolyn Ziegler and the MMI Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) leadership team to honor cancer victims and survivors. A Victory Lap around the track was also held in their honor. Local cancer survivor Mrs. Linda Taylor, honored guest, took part in the ceremonies. Event participation enabled MMI to give a substantial donation to the American Cancer Society.
