Academic Success Center logs 2,500+ visits in Fall semester
The MMI Academic Success Center (ASC) has developed into a major student academic resource in a short period of time.
The establishment of the Center, hiring of staff, and purchasing of equipment and supplies was made possible through a five-year Title III federal grant received under the Strengthening Institutions Program. The Center celebrated its two-year anniversary on October 1, 2018. Since then, the services provided and students participating have increased exponentially.
Compared to the Fall 2017 semester, when the ASC saw 1,644 visits, the Fall 2018 total was 2,533. The ASC now employs four full-time staff members, with the most recent addition of Academic Success Specialist Jillian Stone.
