Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership hosts Symposium, Headlined by Rep. Roby
Each spring, the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership host the Capstone Leadership Symposium, the culminating leadership and educational and character development for the MMI Corps of Cadets. MMI faculty and staff are also encouraged to participate in the panel discussions, guest presentations and workshops. The 6th annual Symposium, held April 3-4, revolved around the theme of "Civic Leadership's 21st Century Challenge."
Delivering the event's final Coleman Keynote Address was none other than U.S. Rep Martha Roby, representing Alabama's 2nd Congressional District.
Additional distinguished guests invited to speak were as follows:
- Brigadier General Thomas H. Todd III, USA (MMI '85)
- Mrs. Leslie Sanders, VP, Southern Division, Alabama Power Co. (MMI Trustee)
- Col Brian Hastings, USAF (Ret), Director, Alabama Emergency Management Agency
- Recent Service Academy graduates, including West Point alumni CPT Megan Hughes (MMI '09) and LT Amy Slaughter (MMI '12)
- Marion Mayor Mr. Dexter Hinton, former Madison Mayor Mr. Troy Trulock, and Montgomery City Councilman Mr. Richard Bollinger
