U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell Discusses Civic Engagement with Cadets
U.S. Congresswoman Terri Sewell (AL - 7), a Selma native, dared us to "make a difference wherever you are" during her MMI Chapel speech on civic engagement. Mentored as a college student by Michelle Robinson Obama at Princeton University, Rep. Sewell shared part of her educational journey from the Black Belt of Alabama to the Ivy League to the halls of Congress. She also charged the audience to become change agents by exercising their right to vote, leading by example, and "finding a cause bigger than yourself."
