Chapel Renovation Completion Celebrated in Feb. 2020

In February 2020, MMI celebrated an official ribbon cutting on the steps of the "new" MMI Chapel, beautifully renovated with hardwood pews and flooring, plus an upgraded color scheme and energy-efficient lighting. The occasion was in coordination with the MMI Foundation's annual Donor Recognition Ceremony held in the Chapel for President's Circle giving level donors and above. During the special event, representatives of the Alabama Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) were invited to take part. In addition to a major donation provided by alumnus James W. Rane for the large-scale project, the ALA Tom RC&D Council provided a $100,000 grant in 2019 to make a much-needed Chapel renovation a reality.
