December graduates plan military and civilian careers

In a joint Fall Commencement & Army ROTC Commissioning ceremony held in MMI's historic Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 14, 10 cadets earned their associate's degree. Four of the fall graduates became second lieutenants after taking the U.S. Army Oath of Office; a total of eight joined a branch of the U.S. military.

Invited back to Marion as the Commencement Speaker was COL Randy Zeegers '84, a graduate of MMI's Early Commissioning Program. He is currently the Deputy Commanding General at the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC. During his speech, he spoke of the leadership experience, lifelong friendships, and academic success he gained at MMI. "Marion has a proven system to teach men and women to enter the world with Truth, Honor, and Service," noted Zeegers.
