Family Weekend

MMI families are invited to join us on October 14th and 15th for Family Weekend 2022! Come have an enjoyable weekend with your cadet and participate in special events. Check-In and Registration begins at 9:00 am on Friday October 14 and Saturday, October 15 in the QM Student Center. Cadets are free to leave campus for the remainder of the weekend after the lowering of the colors around 3:00 pm on Saturday.

Important Notes:

• Checking In/Arrival on Campus: All guests must check in at the QM Student Center upon arrival. Information packets, schedules, etc. will be available upon check-in.
• Meals on Campus: The QM Student Center Grill and Dining Facility will be open to guests, and several food truck options will be available on campus for lunch and dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Outdoor seating (tents, picnic tables, etc.) will also be available. Check back for a list and map of available food trucks.
• Friday Night Dinner Leave: Cadets are given dinner leave beginning at 4:30 pm Friday night to dine off-campus with their families and friends, but must return by 9:00 pm. Food trucks will be available for on-campus dining, and the QM Student Center Grill and Dining Facility will both be open. The QM menu is available above, and local dining options are also listed above.
• Meet the Professors: This event on Friday afternoon must be coordinated through your cadet. If you are interested, be sure to contact your cadet to arrange a meeting. Cadets have been sent an email from Rebecca Watford with instructions.

Friday, October 8 Event Outline
Morning Events

• 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. | Check-In/Registration | QM Student Center
• Liberty Jump Team demonstration
• Bookstore and Uniform Department will be open most of the weekend
• Guided Tour of Historic Marion and the Alabama Military Hall of Honor

Afternoon Events

• Lunch with your Cadet (outdoor dining options only)
• Meet the Professors*
• Two-man Golf Scramble
• Scrimmages, Athletic Practices, Disc Golf
• Guided Tour of the Alabama Military Hall of Honor
• Meet President & Mrs. Mollahan
• Cadet Dinner Leave (4:15-9:00pm)

Saturday, October 9 Event Outline
Morning Events

• 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. | Check-In/ Registration | QM Student Center
• President’s Remarks
• Musical Presentation
• Swamp Fox, and Ranger Challenge Demonstrations

Afternoon Events

• Lunch with Your Cadet (outdoor dining options only)
• Mother’s Review (Corps of Cadets Parade). This event is the highlight of the weekend!
• Cadet Leave after Lowering of the Colors (around 3pm. Cadets must return by Sunday at 6pm)
